“Green Gold – The Smart, Renewable Resource Investment”

  GreenWire – Issue 6 – September 2011

Letter from Bob de Wit, CEO of GreenAngel Energy

Robert Bob de Wit The buying season is upon us as families begin to get back into the work / school routines, and investors start spending more time focusing on the markets. Research done throughout the summer indicates that a larger proportion of investors will be looking at buying shares in socially and environmentally responsible organizations. This idea is backed up by our feature article this month where we interview Timothy Nash of “Strategic Sustainable Investments”..

One of our major foci in the GreenAngel offices for the summer was to create a green energy resource centre. This resource centre has been finalized and is focused around the content published by Tom Rand, one of North America’s foremost speakers and advocates of clean technology and energy. We will send out a separate email next week to unveil and help you navigate the new section of our website – stay tuned!

A popular topic on blogs and investment websites lately has been the debate over how important government regulation is with regard to Cleantech innovation. We weighed in with an article this month discussion the role of the Canadian government on climate-change initiatives and carbon tax. The article aroused some follow up in the comment section, so be sure to read that as well. Specifically, we addressed to what extent the GreenAngel investees rely on government for the success of their products and services in the market.

Keep watching the website and the GreenAngel blog between newsletters to get fresh news on our investees’ activity, along with recent Cleantech Industry trends. If you have a blog topic you want us to cover, a suggestions for the website or resource centre, or something you’d like more info on, please don’t hesitate to email us at info@greenangelenergy.ca or contact us via our social media channels.

Sincerely,
Bob de Wit
