“Greentech Success at the Angel Level”

  GreenWire – Issue 4 – June 2011

Letter from Bob de Wit, CEO of GreenAngel Energy

Robert Bob de WitAnd the winner of a new bike is… Mark Fowle! Congratulations Mark, you signed up and referred your friends to The GreenWire Newsletter, thanks. There are still plenty of opportunities to win prizes, we’ve provided you with a link below to open an email message.

The markets have been slow in June but that hasn’t stopped us from having one of the busiest months in our history. Our team attended 2 conferences, we hired a fantastic summer intern, the investee companies are experiencing success, and we’ve begun work on our “GreenTech Resource Centre”. It only makes sense that if we expect our investees to meet milestones we should be setting and exceeding our own. We have plans for the GreenAngel website to become a powerful resource centre for green energy technology. In the meantime we plan to write articles and summaries of important Greentech industry publications.

As our investee companies continue to meet or exceed their critical milestones we will strive to keep you up to date on their progress. The GreenAngel team is always available for questions or feedback by contacting us through the website, email or our social media channels.

Sincerely,
Bob de Wit

Ethical and Sustainable Investing in Canada

sustainable investmentsEthical investing, also known as socially responsible investing, used to just be about not investing in tobacco, alcohol, oil sands, etc. Today it is still those things but it is also about seeking out organizations that the investor respects for their contributions to society and the environment. What is not questionable however, is the growing demand for these types of investments and the requirement for individual investors to become more involved in the selection process of their investments.

Delaware Power Charges After China’s Upside

China on the Rise Delaware Power System Corp is making significant progress breaking into this highly lucrative Chinese market with its integrated battery technology for electric vehicles. As China looks to the world to help solve its looming environmental issues, Delaware is working hard to play a role in the country’s commitment to improved air quality. Furthermore, companies with green solutions to China’s dependency on coal will inevitably find traction in this mammoth market in the years to come as it becomes less acceptable for China to source its natural resources from African countries.

GAE Shareholder Value is Bright with LED Investment

Red Herring Logo for Innivation Finalist LBTLight-Based Technologies (LBT) has, and continues to be a GreenAngel Energy success story. As a 2011 Red Herring finalist, LBT has made this renowned technology venture list several years in a row. A good proportion of the 2010 GAE earnings were due to an increase in the value of the GAE investment in LBT. With a team made up of technology veterans, a board consisting of seasoned VCs and industry experts, and an advisory committee with a significant combined history in the electronic and lighting industry, LBT is equipped to become market leaders.

While Space Lasts – GreenAngel Technology Ventures VCC

Green Tech Venture Growth 2011In February we announced the launch of an investment opportunity in the form of a VCC for accredited investors. Space in this VCC is disappearing quickly so we wanted to provide a final opportunity for anyone who might be interested. The public company (TSX-V: GAE) will always be available, but this VCC provides a high octane tax write-off for those who subscribe. For a better explanation, click through to the website.
